BIBLE TEXT: Rom.12:2, prov. 22:29
Ever wondered what it will be like, if every establishment, revolution, refined geographical entity ,well defined political system in the world was accomplished through just one pattern. Imagine the 21century been primitive and brutish, just one formula in tackling a math problem, having just one word in our vocabulary, that will be the highest form of banality, hence the need for creativity.
Thanks to creativity, we now have different beliefs, opinions, approaches and perspective on how to handle everyday challenges. Before I proceed, I’d love to redefine the word “CREATIVITY” for emphasis sake, the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it, as the ability to make new things or think of new ideas. Biblically, we can see creativity as the transformation of natural things into supernatural via the utterance of God’s word (wisdom) to make formidable impact.
The human make up can be likened to a container and its content. Our physical body is the container and our ideas and innovations the content. What determines the value of our content is the premium we place on creativity and maximizing it to produce positive impact that will bear its mark on posterity. Our content defines our worth, so as youths and young people of God,we should apply creativity in our daily endeavors,in order as to foster Kingdom and personal advancement. Biblical responsibility is a necessary tool in accomplishing this, that is, we must be grounded and rooted in God’s word. (Psm.119:105,Josh.1:8, 2Tim. 2:15)
WHY DO I HAVE TO BE CREATIVE?
* Creativity prepares us to be a blessing to our generation. (Gen.41:25-57)
* Creativity helps us come up with innovations for soul winning. (1cor.9;19-23, prov.11:30)
* Creativity gives strategic ways of tackling the devices of the enemy. (Jas. 4:7)
