“White” I believe is a concept, often been symbolized as purity,divine,clean,peace. White is oftentimes treated as a god that shouldn’t be misused or that shouldn’t hold a spec of dirt, unknowing to “white” it calls for perfection.
I was on IG last weekend and I just stumbled on a wedding preparation, they were attaching the final touches to a bride’s dress to make it look as perfect as possible before she is presented to the world and her husband. I realized something then, our sanctification and purity Is like that dress ,now the bride can choose how she wants that dress to be, if it’s not suitable for her she’ll do a modification. Similar to us christians a white dress has been entrusted to us by God and a responsibility has been laid on us to keep that dress perfect until the big reveal [death, judgement, rapture]. But some people out of too much pressure have mishandled their pure white dress,it’s no longer pure, divine,clean..
Also liken a white dress to one’s heart whatever you let in your heart either keeps the “dress white” or stains it and sometimes it takes time for us to realise our white dress/ heart has been stained or has left God’s plan and will.
I want to believe today’s piece is speaking directly to you and I , sanctification and purity Is essential in this christian race or journey remember no bride would want even a small stain on her perfect white dress and we are God’s bride, he’s our bride_groom ,we are not perfect we are walking towards it but if a bride can keep her dress all through the wedding irrespective of how many touch she gets ,you can also keep your heart fixed on Jesus.
