Hello and welcome to another Thursday edition on Mimi’s creative mind ❤️🤗, this particular Thursday is peculiar,you know why? It’s 2days to the 2023 elections of Nigeria ,for my readers abroad this is a real big deal for this country,do well to share,like, comment on our post today.
I want to share a short story that’s a little emotional… growing up, as a little girl,my dad used to tell me stories of how he would take 5kobo to school each day ,he would successfully eat well,spend on extra stuffs and still have change from 5kobo. I was able to see that Kobo My dad kept it for me and my brothers to see,I remember buying water for 5#(naira)and chewing gum,speedy biscuit for 10#,I remember buying coaster biscuits for 10# each and then I’ll eat with milk and water and be filed to satisfaction , I remember when if you want to overfeed yourself as in you like food very well eat food of 200# and drink water, my God your movement will change that is if you can even move at all😂😂,it wasn’t a perfect time at this times but we were happy,all festivities at that time were taken very seriously,I mean you will know that Christmas is coming from the buzz on this roadside,to the decorated schools ,to the churches and malls looking extra classy cos it’s that time of the year…,we didn’t have much to boast about but our economy was doing well , thriving as best as it could,at least we could buy fuel convinently without a second thought,we could sleep with hope that tomorrow is going to be better,but now….💔💔
When the anthem said “The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain”…for all these while not mentioning any regime in particular it became “in vain” by those same past heroes…but No more!! It is the most crucial time in the lives and history of Nigeria, I’m seeing posters of don’t sell your conscience,don’t sell your votes ,this is the time to voice out and stand your ground. At this point I don’t think we need any encouraging I mean look at what we have been through..debts,pain, insecurity, immense loss of lives, Jesus we need not make any more mistakes ,we need the help of God ,you can’t be in your house doing Netflix and chill or playing soccer(PS) on the election day or even days before election..I’m sorry to say but you are to be on your knees travailing and standing in the gap for the nation we need Jesus’intervention. ARISE O’COMPATRIOT!!..JI MASUN!! things have to get better, it might not be perfect overnight but we’ll get there eventually.
Let us arise and fight for our peace and unity through our votes , through our thumb, be educated vote well,let your print be within the box so it doesn’t count invalid,get your PVC annoint yourself and move out in the power of the lord …See you after the elections.
