SEPERATION FROM OTHERS OPINION 🚶💭🗯️🚶

Throughout the month of November we have examined the theme “Seperation”, we’ve journeyed through seperation from God, bad friends and self and we’ve with no doubts created a balance between biblical examples and contemporary living on these topics and we are glad we could do this together with you and to wrap up this month we are looking into SEPERATION FROM OTHERS OPINION

There is something we need to understand both as humans and as children of God,everyone has something to say about someone, somewhere or something. God blessed us so uniquely that we all have different perspectives and approaches to various situations, events or people.
An opinion is a subjective belief, judgment or perspective that a person has formed about a topic, issue, person or thing. Notice the word formed, meaning it sometimes is not true. You might be asking what is seperation from others opinion really about??
Having established the fact that humans are designed to form perspectives, ideas about things I mean that’s the beauty of having a brain right?, some of this conceived thoughts become tools of offense, what do I mean?, we are going to balance today’s write up with the positive and negative effect of opinion, we have seen how the power of words have destroyed many completely and on the other hand, blessed many. My opinion about you isn’t who you are but we have programed our minds to always believe what others say because we can’t see ourselves. When I was very little I always didn’t like my name (I won’t say the name) but a lot of people said so many things about that name that I grew angry like why in the world will my parents give me this name??, not until I sat down and in the midst of the so called disadvantages, others opinions made me see in that name, I found beautiful things to counter those opinions in that name and I slowly and surely started falling in love with my name.
Now sometimes the opinions of people are not really built to hurt others but indirectly the reciever of that perspective or opinion might ruminate and when ruminating starts belief sets in. For example someone tells me oh! your body could be in a better shape than this why don’t you do something about it, it’s not making you look really beautiful…at that moment I might be like ohh you’re right! I’ve heard that a lot, BUT! when I’m all alone looking into the mirror I begin to ruminate on that very innocent opinion from that person and then I start telling myself oh! you’re loosing your shape and beauty look at your face, your legs ,your this and that then, belief sets in maybe that’s why I have this deformed this, oh! maybe that’s why people call me fat or maybe this and then you take it as that’s who you are , now watch this in a bid to look fit and fabulous I then begin to take pills, do rigorous exercises, fitfam and all of that which is very healthy and helpful for me but then I push myself too far not because I love it or I’m so interested but because someone made an innocent comment on my body, that harmless opinion caused all of this mental transactions and physical corrections.
Did you notice how I balanced that it’s good at the same time not??

On this note I wanna explain something, we are not always right in the decisions we make, I mean we are not 100% correct in the decisions we make for ourselves because “No man my dear is an island”, you’re not a man or a woman of yourself, no one’s opinion should control you but try to listen to them sometimes, STRIKE A BALANCE!!, don’t let it soak into you to the point that you’ll wallow deep into the definition and anatomy of the opinion that you can’t get out. create an invisible seeve in your mind, filter what’s supposed to be in it and keep it and immediately get rid of what’s not IMMEDIATELY don’t let it linger and don’t ruminate, don’t have a second thought on it . Do you think Jesus’ disciples didn’t give their master one or two opinion of theirs during his time here on earth, I’m sure sometimes when Jesus wanted to do something they’d have been like let’s do it this way, now remember feeding the 5000, the loaves of bread and fishes was obviously not going to be enough Peter suggested Jesus dismissed the crowd,Yes they would not kill Jesus if he had dismissed them but No as tempting as that offer was looking at What they had ongroud Jesus still decided to tell the people to sit and then he concluded that a miracle must be done but these folks cannot leave here hungry. How many times have you taken a stand like that??. He transformed the innocent opinion to a solution.
But check this out Satan told hungry, very very hungry Jesus turn these stones to bread ohh! that was a great idea to feed himself, he could do it, he was equal to the task but he declined not because he wasnt hungry but because it wasn’t necessary he didn’t fast 40days and night only to be tempted by stone to bread not fried rice or bitter leaf soup,so anytime you hear another opinion or advice it’s your choice to take it or leave it just remember stick to the WWJD(What will Jesus do+seeve) Rule. Stick with scriptural standard about you and who you are.

I want to let you in on a secret it’s very difficult to just ignore what other people say about you, yes we are humans our first instinct is to react anytime someone says something about us good or bad but God has offered some solutions to teach us how to shield our heart.
-Galatians 6:4-10 ERV
Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours. Whoever is being taught God’s word should share the good things they have with the one who is teaching them.
-Proverbs 29:24-26 In-Context
He will be punished if he tells the truth in court, and God will curse him if he doesn’t. It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe. Everybody wants the good will of the ruler, but only from the Lord can you get justice.
-‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:32‭-‬33‬ ‭EASY‬‬
You should say clearly to other people, “I believe in Jesus.” If you do that, I will say to my Father in heaven, “This is someone who is my disciple.” But if you say to other people, “I do not believe in Jesus,” I will then say to my Father in heaven, “I do not know that person. He is not one of my disciples.”
These three scriptures emphasis on how our lives should be living proof and example of the person and character of God, because of “persecution” from social media from friends and family a lot of young people have derailed from God’s way, they are so ashamed of their belief in Jesus the son of God and as the last scripture rightly states, Jesus will also deny you in front of his father in heaven, Stick with what you believe according to the dictates of scriptures if it’s not in the scripture, remember the Rule: “WWJD+SEEVE”

It’s been amazing doing this month with you .God bless you I love you all so much and Mimi’s creative mind will see you next month.
