DEI AMOR ❤️✨ REVEALED

Hello there! It’s been a minute, and I’m really excited to be writing to you again. Mimi’s Creative Mind’s break is finally over, and we’re here with an exciting month’s theme:

DEI AMOR (THE LOVE OF GOD).

Dei amor is a Latin term that means the love of God. I know we’ve heard a lot about “Jesus loves you” now and then, but have you ever stopped to wonder why you? What does this love actually mean, and what does it hold for you? Many of us claim we love God and He loves us, but do we truly understand the power and meaning behind these words? It’s often said that we pay attention and want to spend time with who and what we love, but believe me, that’s nothing compared to the love we’re examining this month. This particular love knows no bounds – it’s not restricted by color, age, wealth, or language. It indeed conquers all.

Why Discuss This Topic Now?

In this age and era, many of us have lost sight of the true value of who we are in Christ because we’ve allowed the stains and pollution from the world to contaminate our hearts and mess with our beliefs. Now, when we sin or make mistakes, we often prefer to wallow in that sin and dig deeper, rather than reaching out to the reckless, endless love of Jesus that’s always available to us. There’s a pressing need to open our eyes to the truth that God’s love surpasses that of friends, parents, or anyone else. His love is the bridge between drowning and having eternal life.

Scripture affirms this truth. In John 3:16, it says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Additionally, we see examples of God’s reckless love throughout the Bible:

David: Despite David’s flaws and mistakes, God loved him deeply. In Psalm 23:1, David declares, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” This psalm reflects David’s intimate relationship with God, demonstrating God’s steadfast love and provision.

Rahab: Rahab was a prostitute in the city of Jericho, yet God showed her mercy and included her in His plan. In Joshua 2:1-21, we read about how Rahab protected the Israelite spies and ultimately became part of Jesus’ genealogy, showcasing God’s redemption and love for all, regardless of their past.

The Prodigal Son: In Luke 15:11-32, Jesus tells the parable of the prodigal son, illustrating the unconditional love of the father who welcomes back his wayward son with open arms. This story exemplifies God’s reckless love, which eagerly awaits our return, no matter how far we’ve strayed.

Mary Magdalene: Mary Magdalene was a woman who experienced God’s transformative love firsthand. In Luke 8:2, it’s mentioned that Jesus cast out seven demons from her, and she became one of His devoted followers. Despite her troubled past, Jesus saw her worth and loved her deeply.

Throughout this month, we’ll delve deeper into these and other stories to explore the ways in which God’s reckless love manifests in our lives. Get ready, for the unfolding of the love of God in diverse dimensions. Happy new month and see you next week💕🥰
